I enjoyed invited talks a lot. I can agree that nobody can know for sure what "Web 3.0" is. Yet there are sources suggesting to look at the Semantic Web. Namely, a NYT article by John Markov that appeared at the end of last year says that Semantic Web and Web 3.0 are the same thing. The article itself requires login, but here's a <a href="http://grumpytech.blogspot.com/2006/11/web-30.html" rel="nofollow">blog post reporting about it</a>. Wikipedia has some content on <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_3.0" rel="nofollow">Web 3.0</a> as well. Now, "Web 2.0" and "Web 3.0" are marketing terms and it is important what is behind them. The last paragraph of your blog post says "and all of that data is well organized and searchable". We may as well be talking about the same thing, describing it from a different perspective. When all the data are easily accessible and organized it becomes a Web of Data.
